Bosch Jigsaw Blade Material

Metal is not just metal.
The most suitable blade made from carefully selected materials for every applications that is the leading thought
that runs through the whole product development of Bosch jigsaw blades. This guarantees the use of the best materials and
long blade life. Available in HCS, HSS, Bi-Metal and TC, Bosch jigsaw blades are made for a variety of applications.

HCS
Carbon steel for use in softer materials such as wood, laminated chipboard and plastics.

HSS
Fully hardened high-speed steel for use in metal, aluminum and non-ferrous metal

Bi-Metal
This highly flexible, tough combination of HSS and HCS is suitable for the most demanding applications where there is a risk
of shank breakage or where extremely versatile blades are required. Bosch bi-metal jigsaw blades last twice as long as HSS blades
and 10 times longer than HCS blades. This makes them an excellent value for the money. These blades can be used for wood, metal,
non-ferrous metals and aluminum. Depending on the width of the blade, they are suitable for narrow curved cuts, general tasks with
above-average load or quick, clean straight cuts.

Tungsten Carbide Coated
The HCS blade has been coated with tungsten carbide grit. They are used for abrasive materials such as tiles, glass, cast-iron and brick.

Tungsten Carbide Tipped
The HCS blade has tungsten carbide teeth and is therefore suited for abrasive materials such as fiberglass, reinforced plastics, asbestos concrete, hardwood and aerated concrete. |
